Remember the Grand Designs tyre house in Brittany built largely by volunteer labour in France?

http://www.channel4.com/4homes/on-tv/grand-designs...

Seems it is now for sale... yours for "only" just over Euro 500k:

What do you think a house made of rammed earth and recycled tyres would be worth if it hadn't featured (twice) on Grand Designs?

House that doesnt cost much to run that looks very nice and well finished + 6ha of land and more buildings ripe for renovation?

Dont know house prices in the area but its not that bad a deal is it?

I don't know prices in that area, but seems a lot for a small house. It's the second most expensive place on the agent's site... I'd certainly rather have this for Euro 371k (from the same agency):

Stunning 3 storey character country residence, fully restored in 2002. Spacious accommodation with exposed stone walls and open beams. 4/5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Former dwelling to convert. Garage. Large open barn with stabling for 2 horses. Heated pool. Paddocks and woodland of approx 25 acres.

6 acres, not 6ha.

There's another building included there. So it's not just £440k for one building.

The Lambourne oak framed death nest from series 2 is on rightmove for £1.4m!

Lovely house, but lacks a pool.

Isn't that the house with the toilet composter (of whatever it's called)? The one where it's not connected to any mains and the 'waste' just breaks down in a bag next to it.

Doesn't narrow it down much, lots of the GD houses used those.

One of the best I'd say and in a lovely area.
