Hoping someone on here knows about the RAL colour chart smile

I'm looking to purchase some radiators from a manufacturer called Zehnder. Their standard white no cost option colour is RAL 9016. I ideally want a gloss white finish and am concerned this 9016 will not be *ultra* white. They do have a cost option to pick from the RAL colour chart which includes 9010 which from the brochure, appears to be a gloss finish?

Does anyone know if 9010 will be a brighter white than the standard 9016. I'm hoping the standard 9016 will suffice, but if not, it's 25% extra £££ to choose another RAL colour frown

Thanks

Ferg

9010 is certainly 'creamier' than 9016 according to my RAL chart, but more than that I cannot say!!

Cheers Ferg. Just done a bit more research - 9016 is called 'Traffic white' and 9010 is 'Pure white'

25% extra ££ it is then frown

If you Google 'RAL to RGB' there are a number of sites which will show the RGB value for each RAL colour, although interestingly they don't seem to always agree. It would seem that 9003 is the RAL colour with the most nearly equal & highest RGB values.

The finish isn't related to the RAL colour; you can get each colour in different finishes.

That's very kind of you to offer - thanks. I have however spoke to the plumbers merchants who i will be buying these rads off, and they apparently have a radiator in each of these 'whites' on display, and all of the RAL samples on a chart for me to borrow. I'm going to pop in and see them.

To all those who answered - thumbup

As said before, the RAL reference just gives the colour, not the finish (ie doesn't state how glossy the finish is).
