I was suffering from water ingress under the door of my new garage, so I made a sort of speed hump across the floor just behind the door. Here's a pic during the construction phase.

Trouble is, water is still getting through at one end; as far as I can tell it's soaking through the concrete.

What would the easiest solution be? I was thinking a good coat of diluted PVA might do the trick.

Get everything bone-dry then run clear silicone along the bottom outside edge. It could be coming under the walls too.

Is it below external ground level at the far end?

Does water pool in the area?

Personally i think you'll do better with something like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Weather-Stop-Garage-Door-Flo...

Rubber and silicone will cure your problems. Im affraid your mortar will never seal 100%, and it will crack in time.

if that is a concrete section garage then it will mopst likely be coming in under one or more of the panels , and just falling to the lowest level.

Out of interest , how did you manage to achieve that level of finish on the new water barrier ?

Just a trowel and some patience!

I'm fairly sure it's not coming through a panel, just because of the way the water is distributed.

Will give the silicon thing a try first.
