If you see what I mean.

I'm presuming I can just remove the dwarf wall and UPVC window at the front, and replace with a garage door? The room has been properly converted with plaster on the walls, decent quality flooring, radiator, etc.

Apart from a secure internal door, is there anything else I need to consider?

Ah. The previous owner who converted it never got planning/building regs sign-off - they had to buy an insurance policy on our behalf prior to completion.

I did this when we moved in to our house. 9 years and 2 kids later I regret not having the extra room and wish that I had just paid a bit extra on the insurance so that my car could stay on the drive at night! Hindsight is a wonderful thing...
