Keston Qudos 28s boiler help please

The boiler fan is starting, but the boiler itself won't fire up. Cue no heating or hot water.

The fault code on the boiler is reading E67 (pressure below 0.4 bar). However the external gauge is reading a perfectly adequate 2.5 bar. Clearly there's a problem with the pressure sensor on the boiler itself.

Question is, what's the worst thing that could happen if I opened the X262 Control System panel (having first shut off the mains electricity) and hit the 'Service Reset' button.

Might this 'reboot' it?

Reason I ask is that it's a rented property, and the landlord is a tad slow at getting anyone out. If it's just a question of unscrewing a cover and hitting a button, I'd rather do that than piss about waiting for him to sort it.

Its towards the top of the boiler to the left, sideways on if I recall correctly.

I couldn't find the 'service reset button' (unsurprisingly since I have no idea what I'm looking for).

However, I've raised the system pressure to 3 Bar via the external filling loop, which seems to have solved the problem.

yeah thats how you fit it with the external filling loop..you seem bright

I'm a writer, not a central heating engineer.

Increasing the pressure in the system 'seems' to have sorted the problem. If you've tried that and it hasn't worked, call someone out.

Sealed central heating systems should run at 1.5 bar cold, not 3 bar.

Low pressure will stop some working though. Depending on how fussy they are.

Run, it's gonna do a Japanese nuclear reactor on you.

As stated, system should be no more than 1.5 bar when cold.
