Well, the time has come where we have to start thinking about cutting the lawn....

We've figured out it will probably take about 10 hours with a normal push mower so have started to look for a cheapo ride on...

eBay does seem to have quite a few good options, but the issue seems to be getting it delivered or collected!

but thought id ask on here if anyone has one they are looking to sell?

A friend of mine has a few, it's his hobby. Buys in garden machinery, services and smartens it up, sells them on. He was only telling me last week about a nice ride-on that he'd just bought.

PM me if you like and I'll pass his details on.

I don't have a ride on, but do have a petrol cylinder mower which is looking for a good home. It is a Qualcast Commodore circ 1965. Been in the family from new but is now collecting dust and rust in my garden. Free to anyone who wants to collect ( or a small donation to my charity!) In Middlesex.

Thanks for your help guys,

we have a 'normal' good mower, but a ride on is what we will really need.

Flinstone you have pm on its way!

If getting stuff delivered to you is a problem, which invariably always is, have you looked at shipley.com?

We recently bought a dining room table and 6 chairs from Ebay but it was 100miles away. Rather than renting a van and spending the time/fuel you post the thing needing collection on Shiply. Various couriers will bid for the job. Worked great for us. Got it delivered for only 30 quid more than the hire of a van.
