Just had new double glazing installed, and noticed on the bottoms of the windows in the morning a bit of condensation, is this right, i thought double glazing should not have this issue.
Worth getting the fitters back?

thx

If it is on the inside of the unit then you will need to get them back in to replace the glass.

If it's on the outside then it will be due to replacing draughty window with a sealed double glazing unit. Try opening the trickle vents at the top of the window.

It just means the surface is very cold and warmer humid air come along and dumped its load.

Mine does the same as i didn't want the ugly trickle vents. I just leave the windors ajar when i'm in and it clears it in undr an hour.

Anything above 55% RH in my house, and we get it. As has been said its simply warm moist air meeting a cold window.

Your new windows are probably letting in less air so moisture is building up in the house.

Double glazing won't stop condensation - it is likely that the room-side panes will be warmer than on a single glazed window so the moisture in the air will condense onto something cooler, such as the walls, instead. And you really don't want moisture working into the plaster.

Ventilation kills condensation, by sweeping the moisture laden air out of the room.
