Lesiure Range Cooker - Any good?
Discussion
Looking to buy a new range cooker and wondered if anyone had any experience of the Leisure brand?
The one we are looking at is:

I've had one of these Leisure 110 for about 10 years now (well, it's predecessor).
Other than replacing the grill elements, has been brilliant

Beware, as with everything these days it may not be what it seems. Some of the (lower end) Leisure ranges are not made by Leisure at all but are Beko (Turkish) made and badged up with either Leisre or Rangemaster names. The way to tell is to look around the back, the Beko one is really 2 small cookers joined together. (usually the 110/ 120cm models)
Cannot comment on this one and looking at the picture it may be a genuine Rangemaster.

Leisure are very good, from what I remember from my teenage days selling stuff for Powerhouse, they are an arm of 'Belling' who are regarded as one of the best in the industry apparently.
sadly not the case,Belling are part of Glenn Dimplex which also inlcudes Stoves while Leisure/Rangemaster are part of the AGA group.
Cheers folks, the cooker is made by Beko.
Found a discount code from here http://www.prudentpanda.co.uk/c367b1839p317184/lei... that gives a further 7% off but it looks like it expires today.
Did want a Rangemaster Professional Induction but as the build costs are over running we need to save a bit of cash and this is £1k cheaper.

Bought the exact some one in January and it's excellent.
Previously we'd had a Cannon gas cooker for 20 years which was excellent but even then cost c£800, and then three years ago I re-did the kitchen and SWMBO chose a Stoves cooker which she hated from day one. Grill was very slow, called the technician out twice but he said it was "within limits", and the oven didn't hold a constant temperature so cake baking was a nightmare. Then at Cristmas she was pulling her hair out trying to get it to cook the lunch for fifteen so I rashly said, over the Christmas lunch table, that I'd buy her a new cooker.
We went to all the major retailers and several specialists and settled on the same dual fuel Leisure cooker. Searched on-line for best prices and bought the SS one from these people;

Must say they were excellent, ordered on the phone on a Sunday evening and it was delivered as promised on the Thursday morning as I'd chosen and what's more they took away the old cooker too. But I get the impression that there's a central warehouse that Curry's, John Lewis, Boots, M&S and Empire buy from, 'cos I looked at the delivery drivers paperwork and there was all sorts of company names there though he wouldn't explain it.
But back to the original question, SWMBO absolutley loves the Leisure cooker. If I go out in the kitchen in the evening she's often just cooking something for the fun of it. We're both diabetic and don't eat cakes but she'll often just bake one for the sheer enjoyment; we'll have a very small slice then throw it away and she always cleans the cooker after using it. A good buy as far as I'm concerned and couldn't recommend Leisure highly enough
