Im intending on repairing my garage roof, but its corrugated concrete, so I know it wont take my weight if I stand on itas it is, Would it be ok to use crawler boards on it? I have some spare lenghths of thin timber that I could lay across the roof to enable me to sit up there and repair the roof.

Is this ok, or will I end up on the garage floor?

depends on how big you are!! I personally wouldn't as you may find out to your cost that it is not corrugated cement, but it is in fact asbestos, and you're opening up a bit more pain if you crash through that one.

There was a thread on here not so long ago in a similar vein, I recall that the general consensus was to repair it wherever possible from the inside to avoid the risk of either damaging it or entering a world of pain with removing and disposing of asbestos. I can't remember the thread name though, someone else might be a bit more use on that one!

The use of the word "thin" does not inspire confidence! smile
Scaffold boards spanning the width of three or so rafters would probably be ok,and make sure they're running accross the rafters underneath and not parallel! I'd put up a 8x4 sheet of 18mm plywood to work off.
I've been straight through a roof before, luckily I dropped as far as my knees before I was standing on an industrial out door fridge.
