Jesus, there's no wonder why there are so many Britain is crap threads if that's what you London chaps are getting for your money. I genuinely feel sorry for those that have something like that to look forward to as their first step on the property ladder.

Not bad for a crackhouse starter home. Does it come with a staffie or do you supply your own?

This bit sums it up:

"Drab ... impregnable ... concrete blocks ... accessed via dank passageways and tight stairwells that provide refuge for addicts and muggers ... filthy curtains behind rotten window frames, showing little sign of life..."

I went to see something similar in regents park and as I was walking up the stairwell (lift out of order) guy asked me if I had any rock.

I've just had a look, but even putting a 40 mile radius on places in the North, there's frankly not much for £100k and 4 bedrooms. Not even in places like Hull!

Given the Aylesbury's proximity to the Southbank, I'm starting to think maybe it's not such a bad bargain! After all, if enough nice people buy there because they can't afford anywhere else in London, gentrification will set in, even there. This is unlikely to feature in the future of Hull.

4 bedrooms is pushing it a bit, but there are plenty of reasonable 2 and 3 bed terraced and ex-local authority houses in North Staffordshire for well under £100k. Many are in areas that are not bad to live in either, certainly far better than many comparable areas in London.
