Gas / Electric - Fix Prices or Not ?
Discussion
I'm not usually one for fixed price deals but its decision time as my current variable tariff is about the go supersonic at the end of the month.
I've been with EDF for years and had good service and prices - for ease I would probably want to stay there but BG may be a little cheaper.
I do spend about average, although my profile is less gas than average (put on a jumper), but more electric (really warm plasma TV, plus loads of gadgets).
So the question is - accept the latest online deals with variable prices, or look at a fixed deal looking forward to mid 2015. This would cost £170 (15%) more per annum based on the current prices - but could it come into its own in 12 months time (with three years still to run) ?
Do you like a fix, or take what comes along the way ?
