Ironing board...
Discussion
I bought a new iron board cover which is slightly too big so the eslaticated bit will not hold it in place. Therefore I need to come up with a way to attach it and stretch it out. Doesnt matter if the fix is permanent.
1) My best idea has been to rive it. So the material and the metal are stuck together. This fairly simple method gives me control to stretch out the material. I could place the rivets through the very thin sides/edge of the board. I don't have a rivet gun though!
2) Glue. This will get bessy. Very messy. Whats the bets glue to use for material to metal?
3) Velcro - a possibility though will requite cutting down the iron board cover so I have least amount of material for a good stretch.
4) Use some sort of sewing method on the underside of the board, so the overhanging bits are stretched and connected together by some strong thread. This will leave a lot of stuff dangling on the unerside of the board tho!
5) Same as rivets - but with screws.
Any other suggestions?

Considered that but I dont have a staple gun, and I doubt a normal stapler will pierce the ironing board
Anyhow, seems I can get a rivet gum for £9 from Toolstation. I didn;t realise they were that cheap TBH so I may just get one of them now. At least its a tool I can use again in the future if needed.
