Just a thought, but both Plasti-Kote and Hammerite do an aerosole spray paint, the former about £6.95 for 400ml tin, the latter £10.95

How big are the pieces? - I use a tried and tested company in Park Royal (A40 W. London) - don't know wheres' local to you Tonker - they have done all the chroming on my cars over the years. with regards to price, as a ball-park a Jensen wrap-around rear bumper (fairly big area) is about £300 and a square over-rider (perhaps 6" x 3" rectangular) - £40

I tried the PlastiKote one and whilst silver and shinier than average, it's not like chrome at all, and wears badly if handled.

Suggest the OP tries marinas/chandlers/boatyards - they are sure to know someone who chrome plates, and probably for less than the kind of company that normally do Bugattis!

I had some bumpers done last year by Colonnade in Wembley, mainly because they were the quickest (or the least slow) of all the places I went to in London. Not a bad job - they had all sorts of random stuff in for plating.

My nephew uses someone fairly local, Sandhurst I think, I'll ask him. Uses them for bike bits & bobs.

These chaps....not Sandhurst (that was something else)....Alton
