As per the title really - we are just deciding what to do with our garden and thought I would seek inspiration from you lot, so let's see what you have....

Sorry, no lighting here. Just one under the porch.

Hate gardening. Just a big cold wet scruffy room that constantly messes itself up.

Well, over the garage we have PIR lights front and back, at the side of the place we have PIR, and the corner we have PIR. Out front we have six solar lights (two by the pond and one at each side of the driveways). Out back we have 4 solar lights following the path down past the herb garden.

Nothing exciting at all.

Haha! I was hoping for something a little more interesting. We have a new build house that we have worked hard to make the garden a nice place to be. I want an electrical point atthe bottom if the garden so I though I would get some subtle lighting put in too.

Timely thread.

The mrs has hinted (instructed) that the garden is lacking is border lighting.

I could look at doing a proper job & wire in something decent, but I have far too much on at the moment to do it justice, so solar thingys might be the answer.

Carry on smile

@ Smiler.

Solar products are could not really be termed 'lighting' imho. Perfect if you just want to mark a path or something but they don't actually give light enough to illuminate anything.

@zimmerman.

I've got a great little 10W LED mini flood you might like.

Pop a green filter in and the effect on greenery is fantastic.

we put in some mini halogen spotlights around the border, mostly bambo stuff, also have a rope light running through gabions that frame the raised flower beds... cgot some spolights in some stainless steel planters own the side of the house aswell. we have some spotlights on the extension walls aswell... i'm light mad but reigned it in on this house lol

These are all on a 4 way wireless smart lighting system in the garden,controlled by remote control.

My neighbour picked up one of these from distant aunt last year to schlep to work and back and keep the miles off his pride and joy.

It was a vanden plas model with 40-odd thousand miles and in much the same condition - god knows how it survived. Everythig worked too- electric sunroof included (something my corrado couldnt manage).
