Im having a problem with wasps setting up home in any crevise they can find on my house. So far the wasp man has been over, chucked some powder about and killed them. This just seems to make them setup home elsewhere (in my house). To avoid having to get the wasp man out each time, can you buy any more potent (under the counter) stuff as the products available on the highstreet are 'Ghey' and dont do the job.

Im thinking agent orange, anthrax spores or napalm?

I recently cleared a wasps nest out of my shed using WD40 and a lighter, although it might not be practical for you. It is very satifying watching them burn though!

As far as I know the pros use a Bendiocarb based powder (but possibly a higher %), so all you are usually paying for is a man to climb a ladder and puff it in/around the hole.

Just buy the cheapest Bendiocarb ant/wasp powder at the highest % and give the entrance hole a good dusting.

Also you can't stop them nesting without physically blocking all the crevices, the powder is only intended to kill that nest, it's not a repellent.

the powder sticks to itself so just blast away at the hole and it should clog it up. we had a nest last year powdered the access hole and 24 hours later not a single wasp left

Once a nest is killed it will not re locate its just you have found another nest!! At this time of year the nests are very small so can be hard to spot them until they look like the flight path to heathrow!!
Most I have had is 17 nest on one house!

That's a bit harsh!!! You are paying for a professional who has been trained and is qualified, insured etc to do the job!

Bit like saying all your paying the gas boiler fitter to do is connect some copper pipe
Or just paying the electrician to connect some wires
You are paying for a professional!!!

True, but many people choose to not pay for those professional services if they want to try and DIY it. In this case the OP asked if they could DIY a wasps nest removal and the answer is "yes, the equipment is not very specialised", and in my experience it's almost impossible to fail at.
