Anyone want some free rocks? East Sussex
Discussion
We recently moved a pile of old rocks that were taking up space down the end of the garden.
Rather than dump them at the tip I thought someone wanting to build a rockery may appreciate them.
So far I've probably made them sound like random rocks but they are actually dark grey proper things like you would buy at a garden centre for a few quid each. They are pretty weathered but if you wanted them clean a jet wash would sort them right out. Varied sizes and I'm not sure on number, maybe 25-30. We built a small rockery out of a few and it looks really good.
Totally free if you come and collect them. I'm near Lewes in East Sussex. If anyone's interested I can get some more details on number and size and also a photo or two, let me know.

Nice rocks, awful brickwork, just like you find on most Sussex 1950-60's houses, usually bungalows!
Thanks ever so much for such a useful response. I knew as I was uploading the pictures that some clever sod on here would comment on the brick work. Thankfully, that's just the crumbly old rear addition that will be torn down and replaced when funds allow. I think it may even have been a DIY effort by previous owners. FYI, it's not a bungalow, but is late 60's, that addition was probably 80's though so you're pretty wide of the mark, clever-cloggs.Off to free-cycle with the rocks I go.

Ah, they obviously matched it in well, and I was actully spot on. LOL. FYI it is just a statement of fact, most of the mass built housing in Sussex of that era was built by blind brickies. Perhaps you can get yourself a sense of humour from free-cycle whilst you're there!Off to free-cycle with the rocks I go.
