Red Kite - Bromsgrove.

Used to seeing Red Kites in large numbers around Wycombe on the M40, but until now have never spotted one in North Worcestershire. The Kite was seen today at 12pm over Morrison's car park. Flew at low level for a number of minutes over the area and was attracting a fair bit of attention from the seagulls and crows.

Strewth - we've got dozens of them! They're getting increasingly domesticated too as quite a few locals leave food out for them.

So many you could almost consider them as 'pests'

My mates Mum feeds them bits of meat. They are always hanging around her garden and regularly swoop down to grab the food. We had a BBQ there a couple of weeks ago and there were at least 14 of the buggers circling above.

Please don't feed them - this is apparently leading to incidents of red kites attacking children for the food in their hands!

What. Morrison's Bromsgrove? COOOOL.

I too see them on the M40 in places, and of course in Wales. Hope the pendulum does not swing the other way excessively. Talk of pests is a worry also.

A little off topic, but yesterday I saw a Buzzard drop a rabbit on the Bewdley by-pass as I 'hooned' up it in the Elise. To my surprise the rabbit ran off into the verges. Amazing really.
