Atleast she wouldn't have suffered ( little consolation I know)
I remember waking up one morning a few years back, looking out the window and seeing my cat lying at the roadside.
Not nice when the go like that.

Its very sad, my poor puss was run over about 3 weeks ago. He was only about 3 and had a fantastic personality.
We have just got two 10 week old kittens, brother and sister.
The madness these two have brought into the house takes your mind off your loss.
