How do i stop a fox crapping in my garden !

Got a bloody fox that comes right up to my patio door looks at me in the room then craps on my steps. Does it every night, and if he's found a curry somewhere sometimes more than once a night.
I dont want to kill him (i think its legal) but how can I get rid of the little stter.

I've got 2 foxes in the field next to mine. Friendly little buggers really. However, the cats will see them off if they come into the garden, which is funny to watch!

I use good old white moth-balls off ebay to dissuade cats from crapping in the garden. As the mothballs tend to dissolve in rain, I hang them in old onion mesh bags under plants so the smell is there but they last longer. It works to a reasonable degree with cats but I don't know about a fox's sense of smell.
