Just went into the loft to sort out the TV aerial digitrickery switchover cockup to find a bird residing up there...

Being a nice kind of old fart, I tried to talk to the little blighter, but it decided to intimidate me with much flappery and fly-bys.

When this failed, the little bugger decided to hover like a Harrier...

And crap on my head...

This is not cricket...not bloody cricket at all

In am not amused...

Any agricultural bods here know how to deal with this..?

I don't think you're allowed to shoot starlings...

Hang plenty of carrier bags up there, scares them off in time. Otherwise, chase it round with a hammer

Radical suggestion, but how about you leave it be?

If it's found a way in, it can find a way out. smile

Sorry, I didn't explain. It's been nesting up there since the spring. Thought it was a squirrel behind the barge boards.

shout...Oi

Why has this been moved to the beasty forum...?

It's a house problem and there's more likely to be a solution from the nutters gathered in the Lounge...

End of thread.
Not end of bird as you'd hoped.

To be fair, I'm surprised it hasn't been sent to the Sport forum.

Hunt it for sport, like?
