They Ate What? 2011 X-ray Contest Winners

Ladies and Gents, I present rocks, guitar strings, spoons, false teeth and, my own particular favourite, a plastic dinosaur.

Site contains pictures of x-rays and surgery, but all beasties recovered successfully smile

And all dogs!

What is the Darwinian explanation for that? Omnivores have evolutionary advantages but there is a limit!

My rabbit likes pizza and tried to steal a ham and cheese sandwich (with plum chutney) this afternoon. Likes Baileys ice cream but not Phish Food and has a real soft spot for chocolate brownies.

Got home to find an unhappy looking bunny and an open pack of dolly mixtures. Stealing a sweet from our hands is one thing, but climbing into a book case, taking an unopened packet and helping themselves is something entirely different.

Jelly babies are a real favourite of theirs.

"A 1 1⁄2-year-old male Chi-weenie had chewed on a bottle of Gorilla Glue. The glue expanded in his stomach and molded to it perfectly. He had a complete recovery after the surgery."

Lucky pup.
