Amusing pet sleeping/dreaming activity
Discussion
Mine do it.
My 'kitten' (actually 4 now but he hasn't noticed yet) has ridiculously active sleep sometimes, not just twitches but quite big movements, I'm sure I saw a pounce the other night! He also occasionally gets hiccups in his sleep, which is hilarious.
The girls (5 and a half) do too but not to such a big degree as the little'un.
My parents' dog does as well, was away on holiday with them in October and had her sleeping on my bed.

both my dog and cat have very animated dreams.
the cat you can see all paws and legs going hunting, then you see her mouth doing eating movements or something.
the dog as well as twitching and small running movements he also does little yips or barks but with his mouth closed, so they are funny muffled woofs. his whiskers also wrinkle loads and he sometimes growls.
there is that utube clip of the dog sleepwalking and running into a wall....

Our cockatiel Spike, or "King of all he surveys" as he considers himself, with some regrettable regularity while fast asleep will fall off his perch.
Quite amusing in itself but this turns to anxiety for the poor little blighter as he flaps around the bottom of his cage in a total blind panic until he finally figures out he's not in any danger of any kind.

You'd be pressed to beat this dreaming dog for moving in his sleep!

Part of me says I shouldn't laff, especially when he pelts it into the wall all confused and stuff... but, it is very funny... gawd knowns what he was chasing or being chased by!Robatr0n said:

awwwwwwwwwww he must be shattered when he wakes up! lol Our retired racing greyhound Eddie twitches and moves his legs in his sleep, barks and makes a funny muffled barky noise. When he is awake I have never heard him growl, in his sleep he growls, shows his teeth and is much more aggressive to the imaginary dogs in his dreams than he is to anything when he is awake lol
