Please help! Stella, my EBT, won't stop humping and killing her bed! She's costing me a fortune in Tesco value duvets frown

She was spayed in July, she's 7 years old. She's from rescue, but we suspect the Po tried to breed from her...

She'll even "pin" her bed over the sofa and give it a struggle cuddle frown

More annoyingly, I was having a telephone interview for a job and the bloody dog was grunting and puffing in the background the whole time!

i use to have an unspayed collie ,who used to play with next doors Staffie -more like Derby & Joan .Taking her for walk -he'd tag along ,but if she had a bone -more than his life was worth to try and get near it . She regularly used to hump him - perhaps she was trying to get him in the mood .

This brings back memories of when i was an Estate Agent, valuing a house one day,i'm standing in the sitting room discussing the value of the property with the vendor when i look over her shoulder to see their Jack Russell has hopped up onto the sofa and is riding a cushion to within an inch of bursting it,i managed to hold myself together for a good 5 minutes before school boy humour took over and split my sides laughing, needless to say i didn't get the instruction which i always thought was a little unfair...

I adopted her in Jan, she had a season in Feb/March, it's being going on pretty much since her season. She gets quite possessive over the thing she's humping if you're not quick to take it away.

I was wondering if it's an attention seeking thing??

Thanks for all replies, she's sleeping quietly right now hehe

Any chance she was approaching another season when she was spayed, we normally adv spay 3 months post season whereas hers could'be been nearer 4-5 months. I can't help feeling it's hormonal related (though I'm not sure how) it's not really normal behaviour and maybe worth asking your vets if they have any ideas. Attention seeking is possible esp if she learned when she first did it it got attention. So if it's not her hormones acting up then behavioural advice would be worth seeking. It should be 'treatable'

Thanks Bex. One of the bullie mummies said if her heat hormones had kicked in when she was spayed she would still have a mental episode, however she should have come out of it by now.

I think a trip to the vets is in order, it's not nice for either of us frown

Does he also collect a load of toys and keep them together? Phantom pregnancy type thing, which she is now used to as she was spayed young? Difficult one.
