She has pruned your Budlia.
Spring is the correct time for cutting them back, but she appears to be just a puppy so I think you should give her a break.
With some some guidance and training, I'm sure she will restrict this activity to March in future years which should improve flowering.

lol, close. I had pruned the budlia and she had helped herself to it while I was on a loo break. Its an old photo of her when she was 3 months old so was taken in August 2010. blummin thing takes over half garden, it grows so quickly. Do you want it? Free if you come and dig it up. Here is a pic of her "helping" with the gardening again.

Yes, one of ours does that too (though not usually as large a branch as that!). Then looks at you with a "yes, how may I help you?" face on.....
She will also run around barking to set off the neighbour's dogs, then once they are going mental, she comes trotting back in, looking quite pleased with herself.
