Hi guys/girls, I have nearly finished my 6month 21day tour of Afghanistan with my search dog Gracie, so here are a few pictures I thought you might like.

Well thank you, it¡¦s nice to know some appreciate the job we do!
Gracie is ok under fire, when we train before going to Afghan we use fire simulators so the dog is used to it.
Yes its nice to have her around, its great moral for the lads too ļ but she can be a pain in the arse!!

We used Ugandan dog handlers with their dogs to find explosives and ammunitions in Iraq. Fantastic teams.

I come across dog teams in Afghanistan around the places I visit monthly. The British teams do an excellent job along with everybody else.

My career path took me one way but I'm sure it would have been equally fun filled if I had been a dog handler. Keep up the good work and enjoy your leave. Keep low, run fast.

I will do thank you.

Can i ask what you do?

The dogs are very good and it is reassuring to have them around.
I do love my job and i think it is one of the best jobs the Army have to offer.

They are brilliant pictures and you guys are also brilliant (inc the four legged team members aswell of course smile)

What happens with Gracie when you come home? does she join you until you go back out (if you do go back that is) or does she have to learn to work with someone else? (I assume they need their rest period aswell though)

Quick question if you don't mind, is there a reason you only wear one knee pad?
