Rabbit question
Discussion
There is only one answer really.
Vets tomorrow. Never mess about when a rabbits appetite drops. Yes it could be related to her season but they are induced ovulaters so I'm not sure how she could be in season, either way not worth guessing at that esp if she's never been like this before when in reason.
Hope she's ok. Is she passing normal amounts of faeces?

as the other poster said, get it to the vets ASAP and keep an eye on what is coming out the back, is it the same amount as normal, is it the same sort (IE is it the usual little dry pellets or is the rabbit leaving the soft pellets they would usually eat etc
stuff like that is good info to have at hand incase the vet needs it

As above, vets asap. The problem is when they start not eating, their gut stops, and you end up with GI stasis, Gastrointestinal stasis. THe gut stops basically, and thats a killer. They cant just start eating again and it all be fine for the most part, most of the time, once it stops, it stops, only a vet can sort it out with a jab to get it going again.
Does she eat anything? or none at all. Either way its a vets job asap. I mean tonight if your vet is open. If she is not eating anything I would say it is stasis. One of ours has had stasis and she wouldnt touch any food. We stupidly took the vets assistant advice and left it over night to see if she would eat. Still the same in the morning.
Ours are indoor bunnys and we both work so they only get fed at certain times so if they dont munch down at feeding time then we know something is wrong and they are off to the vets

Strange turn of events tonight, got home from work all ready to take her to the vets and she has perked up back to her old self, drinking and eating just as well as before. She has been playful all evening as if nothing has happened. Have spoke to the vet and they have said see how she is for the next few days.
ETA Tis still TubbyTommy just had a name change.

That is good and lucky. Had she eaten anything different last few days? Check her mouth is dry and no saliva (suggests teeth probs) and as LGF said poss fright.ETA Tis still TubbyTommy just had a name change.
Still whatever the cause it's good that she seems to have sorted it out, a lot of bunnies aren't so lucky.

Did she fall or had a fright? Ours stop eating when something really upsets them (or it's an emergency...)
Keep a good eye on her. Is it time for a bunny MOT?
She's not long had a check up from the Vet, she seems absolutly fine now. I don't know if our little one has been chasing her around and maybe he gave her a fright. Will have to keep a check on her. Thanks for evryones advice and help.Keep a good eye on her. Is it time for a bunny MOT?
