A bit of a long shot I guess, but worth an ask.
Are the cows out to grass yet or still in barns?

Some are out, but if we don't soon get some rain they will have nothing to eat!

Out, have been for a while. We've probably had a bit more rain than you, but water levels are way down on last year.

Thanks again.
Does anyone know if Europe is getting them out? I'm curious about grass growing, or not, and wondered if the cold spell has affected things. Hadn't thought about lack of rain though.

some in and some out near me depending on how well the grass is growing and how bad the farmers need them out.

Our Galloways went out last week-end. They come in to stop poaching (the pasture) and so letting them out is a function of how dry the land is and how much feed you have left but you want to get them out as soon as possible because they do better out than in - ours do anyway. The grass started growing properly about 3 weeks ago here.
