Missing Springer Spaniel - Stoughton, West Sussex

Someone I know from another forum lost their Springer this afternoon at Blackbush Copse end of Kingley Vale Nature reserve, near Stoughton, West Sussex.

"The search will commence tomorrow at about 8.30am from near the Hare & Hounds pub at Stoughton PO18 9JQ

Jess went missing at approx 3pm this afternoon from Blackbush Copse which is about 1 mile north east of the pub. If you look on googlemaps you can follow the road around to the wooded area.

We need all hands on deck asap to track the young lady down so if you are local then please try to spare some time to lend a hand. Niki is getting posters organised first thing tomorrow.

If you wish to join the search party then please contact Niki.

For those of us who are too far to help locally then please spread Jess' dog lost link far and wide via FB/Twitter/etc/etc

If i was nearer i would help look for her, its good that she has a tag on her collar saying she is chipped and nuetured, that should help prevent her falling into dodgy hands.

It's a shame I've only just seen this. Definitely would have gone over to help search as we're not that far away. She looks just like our little Springer.

This is my worst fear and makes my heart sink. I really hope they find her.

Still missing unfortunately, so if anyone can help either with searching or postering then please do ring Niki on the number on Dogslost. I gather this is a huge area and the longer she is missing the further she might have travelled.

If anyone has any local radio contacts, they'd like to try to get some publicity that way.

Bump, she's still missing, there have been some sightings but no joy.

She's still missing, there is a very reliable sighting from earlier today at Racton if anyone is in this area. The doglost link has been updated with all details.

Jess is wary of strangers, anyone who sees her is asked to go carefully, not to call her and to ring Niki on her mobile ASAP. She is one very scared doggie

Thank doG she's been found! There was a fairly early sighting of her this morning and then a farmer managed to pick her up. She seems to be ok and its being vet checked now.
