What sort of pointer I've had a GWP and have two GSP's so can give you loads of advice. What's the breeder? Do you know how much exercise they need and how stubborn they are when training, they get bored very easilly and can get up to all sorts of tricks which you won't like!

Don't encourage them to chase prey or you'll have your hands full when older as they can be hard hunting dogs and cover ground very fast.

Great dogs though loving very bidable good alternative to a labrasnore. Will you be working it?

My GSP's are from andasal with Birkenwald parents.

Pm me if you like for anymore info

Your welcome,

You do realise what hard work gsp's are don't you? They will eat your house if bored and not occupied.

Edited to add my nearly two year old is still a little like this !. My 6 year old is pretty good.

Exactly, if left to their own devices this what happens. GSP's when young are like a 5 year old kid who's a memeber of mensa and constantly looking for something to do usually not what you want, or they are a sleep!

Just a bit worried the OP hasn't researched the breed and will get the pup home only to find it's running rings round him.

Best advice I got when looking at Weim' and pointer pups was "choose the quiet one". The first to run over will turn out to be a loon.

Well thats the first night done!! Had all of about 2 hrs total sleep lol

he's a little star.....met the mum and dad and they were crackers, really nice owners and can tell he has been cared for. Straight in the car pined for about 10 mins then sparko for 2 hr journey home.........

Home he's had a good look round and approves ish, eating ok and dumping like a good un!

left him in his new cage and he had
sleep breaks of about 40mins then enjoyed letting us know he was awake. ... Got up with him at 4.15am but up at 5 everyday so no problem

Me out at work now and had progress report at 6am to say he's had his breakfast and is sparko again.......

boy dont worry about me fella i've a few dogs over the years lol

Cheers

Well done, enjoy the calm before the storm. GSP's are a great breed but you do need saint like virtues or they drive you mad.
