Anybody seen one? I was thinking it would be funny to see how fast my Springer goes and where she goes...

Loc8tor.

Not cheap though! On offer at £120 at the moment, usual price is £220.

Uses an app and website to track your pet.
I have the lesser version for the cats.

I would want it to plot a route so I can see how far she has been and how fast. No reason however, just a bit of fun.
She isn't big so it would have to be small.

I have a Garmin Forerunner that I use for running and cycling. I just attached this to my dog's harness to see how far and fast she went on acouple of occasions.
In the time I walked 1.5 miles with eher she clocked up 5.5ish and about 27mph while chasing a ball.

But the tag is attached to the collar so you find the cat comes back without said collar which you then go and find. Its saved us a few quid in collars and tags etc.
Only thing is to get the inline silicone protectors not the dangly pendant ones. These tend to get dipped in water bowls and the like so rendering them useless!

I have used my forerunner on a train before and it was still accurate except for the calories burned bit.

Plenty of them about - work equally well on cars, kids or OAPs as well as pooch! smile

GPS Tracker There's cheaper ones as well but one thing to watch with all the lower/mid range ones is just how they store the data. Many of them rely on SMS msg to activate/transmit back a location fix so it could get expensive. Far better to get one you can download afterwards - unless you actually need to locate a lost dog or Grannie that is!
