I'm having problems with my dog, Robert Nesty Marley McNicholl Moore. Marley for short, and before you ask, we called him Marley long before the book came out. I was smoking heavily at the time lol.
Anyway, he's a Black Lab/Springer cross. Fully grown but he looks like a Black Lab puppy and won't get any bigger and he has picked up the Springer energy/mentalness.
My house is on a circa 2 acre site so I generally let him run around all day when I go to work. He's just turned 6 but the bother has only started the past 2 weeks. He has started running up the road barking at walkers etc. but the main problem is when he sees a cat, he'll chase it 5 miles. He runs into the fields but he hasn't bothered any sheep etc. I got him used to them at a young age so he just thinks, 'hi, it's a sheep, so what?'
So what can I do to make him stay within the boundaries of my site? I don't fancy locking him up for 12 hours a day when I'm working.
