So I'm back off to the RAF soon and will be getting a new pad and settling down in a new area. My old dog has settled with my mum and her neighbour now so doesn't like being moved around. As an old girl with a few niggles it seems unfair to uproot her.

I've always rescued dogs and am happy to put the hours in.

What upset me though is the amount of horrific stories about how dogs were left. It beggars belief that people can be so cruel. frown

I'm useless and get quite upset by it all. I can't even look at those stands that appear in towns with all the testing images. Prefer to be ignorant to it all sadly.

Sorry. Totally pointless thread really but just wanted to share my upset and disgust over how animals and dogs in particular get treated by humans.

Looking forward to being able to give one poor sod a safe and happy home.

It is disgusting, far too many people getting dogs without realising the time and effort they need to put in to get a great pet.

No bad dogs just bad owners and all that.

We were on holiday in Mauritius recently and the issue and treatment of stray dogs pretty much spoilt our holiday!

Tell people about it, make the public aware, once tourism reduces they will sort it out..

Have a look on here http://www.cairn-rescue.co.uk/

Several lovely blokes looking for a home . These blokes are small in size, but massive in stature. They don't take up a lot of room, but are loving and think that they are guard dogs equal to a massive GS .Meet one, love one and you will NEVER want any other breed. But beware, they can live to 16b yrs old. And you can get very attached to them .
