Can't help but notice there's a lot of fellow 'hound' owners in this part of PH? I often see people talk/mention their Greyhounds, Whippets, Lurchers etc. Given I love to see pics of other 'hounds', I thought it would be nice to have a thread where other 'hound' owners could post up some pics and have a bit of discussion/banter/storytime etc...

I'll get the ball rolling with our "Betty", she's a 4 and half year old Whippet Lurcher (Saluki, Greyhound, Terrier) who we've had since birth. If it moves she'll chase it, whether it be foxes, rabbits, deer, pheasants, she'll more often than not catch it as well! We honestly couldn't be without her, such a character...

That's a lot of photos smile. I'll get some pics of my whippet Jimmy up once on the laptop.

However you should realise that there is already a thread for ALL breeds of dogs to be posted on called post photos of your dogs. Don't want to be accused of discriminating!

Yup, seen it, but I don't fancy wading through 340+ pages of pictures of breeds I'm prob not that interested in just to find some hounds. I'm not discriminating, I just thought it might be a good idea to get us all in one place. It might even spur others on to do something similar with their breed/types. smile

Fair enough, difference with me is as much as I love my whippet and couldn't imagine having another breed, I love looking at other peoples dogs and variety of breeds they are.

rofl his eyes always do that with a flash. Thought it was appropriate in this case, given the theme.

I love halloween because of him. He loves greeting kids at the door and they love him, he's remembered by them. Did have one child scream and run back down the drive and her friends told her off for being stupid!
