I got my budgie stuck to fly paper

Unbelievable! My wife has gone back to work this week (after 9 years' raising the children) so I took a week off to look after kids. I thought I would let my kids' new pet budgie have a fly around the lounge. Within 10 minutes of being left in charge I had somehow managed to leave some very sticky fly paper hanging in the flight path of the budgie. He was stuck on it with its wings open looking like Christ on the cross.

I told my kids not to tell mummy when she gets home. First thing my 4 year old George said when my wife walked through the door was, "daddy stuck the budgie to the fly paper. He was going cheap cheap and daddy peeled him off very carefully". These kids don't let you get away with anything.
