Hey all just got a question, I have found out that a four year old Bengal female needs a loving home, she was basically used as a breeding machine poor thing. she is lovable , cuddly and just wants a peaceful loving home, now i understand she is now spayed and inoculated and there is a fee of 75 quid... not an issue... just wondering if anyone has given home to a Bengal mog before and what type of temperament they have in general. ive seen photos and they look stunning , ive had cats all my life and miss having one as a slave master. thing is we've also got a conure (mini parrot) wonder if they would work together. i really want to give a rescue mog a home and this one sounds awesome

Get two wink

I've got two bengals and I think they would get bored without being able to scrap with each other

I have a single spayed female Bengal, she is just like any moggy but, there's always a but, she is very noisy, will quite happy have a conversation with me for hours (though it can be more like a shouting match at times) I would not keep her in all the time I think she could be quite destructive if she didn't have the freedom to go outside. She loves to play with toys and devours scratching posts. As long as you don't mind playing with your cat on demand and can let her have a bit of space to run riot go for it. I wouldn't be without mine.

sounds to me going on this i have to accept i am going to be a slave to a new mog then smile I am used to vocal pusses given my last 4 were a fugly white moggy, a tabby, a norwegian forest mog and a pedigree tonkinese who could and still does meow like a good un. he lives with my dad since my mum passed and they are best mates. the other mogs are now in kitty heaven bless em. still concerned about how a bengal would get on with the bird but i guess if the puss is out the room when the bird comes out all will be cool. the bird is the other halfs but the cat will be mine.... hopefully if she chooses me to be her slave. i miss having a cat so much its come to the point where i was going to get a kitten but after reading so many post here i decided i have to give a rescue puss a loving home. no one wants to know older cats but ive decided its got to be ive had so much love from kittys that an older cat deserves a chance of a good home and a bengal.... well they are fantastic looking and look like a mini leopard smile

thumbup

If she is an ex breeder she may well be shy, timid & not at all happy with other cats around. Depends on her circumstances,if you can find any history out about her it will help

We have a Bengal cross,i tried to keep her in the house for a couple of days when she was a bit unwell. Now,she gets to roam round the whole house as she wants and is often found on our bed.

As i left to go to work here was said cat on the roof. She had climbed out the bedroom window that's always open. She soon found a route down onto the ground and now that's her way of coming and going.

Very clever beasts and not to be underestimated in any way.hehe

Bit of a pest diving of the window sill and onto my head in the middle of the night though irked

rofl Bast was a Bengal cross. She squeezed through a barely open upstairs window & climbed down the ivy to escape one day!

They are very clever cats biggrin Very loving & very loyal love

Great cats as others have said, they can be a bit dippy. The ex breeding ones I have seen have been really friendly even with strangers.

One of our Bengals is currently standing on the ridge of the house across the drive and stalking a pigeon smile

Well my dad has sent me the details of the person wanting to re home her. looks like she has full pedigree papers too, not that that bothers me much. going to phone them on monday to get more info but apparently she is very affectionate, intelligent and loving. cant wait smile

Photos are a requirement so we can admire the pussmog in question smile

Oh and one word of warning, if a Bengal hasn't had the right early life and treatment ie lots of love and attention then can be pretty viscious. My vet had only had experience of one like that when we first took ours in, and when she heard she was seeing a bengall she got out huge leather gauntlets! I bit over the top for our purry soppy mogs.

well used to cat bites.. got to ring the owner tommorrow to arrange rehoming and the finer details but i want her and she will be coming home to be loved and given a nice relaxed place to call her own. cant wait !!!
feels good to be adopting a mog that needs a loving home rather than getting a brand new kitty. they were taloking about having her put down !!!!! and just because she cant breed anymore..... bds !!!!!
