BAckground - I have 6 cats, the youngest tom being a 15 month Norwegian Forest cat, and the eldest a very frail moggy lady who's 2 weeks away from 17, and used to be a vicious hunter / eater.

Young Ricky caught a mouse - as you do - and brought it in live. I didn't quite make it to rescue it before he delivered the coup d'etat so when I got there it was only just dead. Being a horrible mother, I removed it from him, with the intention of flushing it down the loo. Then I don't know what took me - rather than do that, I went tout to the kitchen where my old lady was sprawled on the heated floor, and offered it to her. Fortunately for me she sniffed and declined my offer... then I realised what a sick witch I'd been, and have been chastising myself for my sickery ever since.

If it was still alive and injured then yes but as it was dead it might as well have been put to good use and eaten.
