Due to my wife's disability taking a turn for the worse, we need to rehome half of our pets.

This is not an easy decision to reach, and we want to ensure they go to good homes.

So where would be the best place to sell, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, and a 250L tropical fish setup.

Don't really know where to sell them but just wanted to say I hope all turns out ok with your wife illness.

Using the word rehome for the animals might be better, as you are unlikely to actually get folding for them. The tank and setup might sell -check Ebay etc for comparison pricing.

Probably the best thing to do with the fish is to talk to a local aquatic shop to see if they'll take them, then you can drain the tank down and sell the filter, heater, lights and the tank itself on eBay - either separately or as a job lot.

If you use Facebook most towns have local groups and you'll probably find local families prepared to rehome the animals. As said, selling isn't really the way to go about this.

I'd take the increased air quality as payment enough!
