She's in bits as you can imagine
She has asked me to bury the poor little fella, but how deep should I go?

Makes me realise how messed up I am going to be when ours goes...

Decide how deep the bit of garden you use is likely to be dug to in the future then go a spade depth or so deeper. (Might sound a bit odd, but hopefully will prevent unfortunate accidents later)

Well, he went down about 18"

I said a few words, covered him over, and placed a man made from flower pots on top to keep him company...

Our little furry friends really know how too affect us. My condolences to your Mum. A nice send off for the little critter.
