New baby arrived

Hi all, first time posting in here but been popping in and out for years because I love all types animals. We have 2 cats called Macey and Marbles.
I had a Border Collie called Mick 25 years ago and have now decided its time I had another dog. Always fancied a Lab bh, so I have jumped in an got one, not a rash decision I might add.

Milly is 11 weeks old, 1 days away from parents but coping well. Came from a litter of seven, black mother and chocolate father.

Hoping for lots of good times ahead. I live in the lake district so lots of hills to chomp up and down.

So, first of many questions, what insurance would be recomended by anyone, first one I've looked at is from RSPCA, £75 excess plus 10% of remaining claims cost. Is that about the normal plan

11 weeks should be most beneficial to her health and well being, so that is a good breeder IMHO. A good start to her life.

I hope you will consider feeding her raw food as well.

I am afraid I cannot recommend any insurer given my own experiences of them.

My labs called Millie to, though spelt differently, best dogs for children IMO.

Insurance wise I have always used Pet Plan, the top product on offer at that. I had 3 then 2 then 1 now 0 Goldies and never had an issue with a claim in 16+ years. They are not cheap but they do offer full cover over the full term of the dogs life - some of the cheaper offerings severely cut the cover offered once the dog turns 7 or 8 years old so read the small print carefully before deciding what is the best product for the price quoted over the full term of the dogs life.

I am sure your pup will turn out ace, We Have two labs now oscar who is 3 and poppy the puppy. Sadly we lost a pub Lucy in February due to kidney failure, she was only 16 weeks old. Im still gutted about it now.

Heres our pup Poppy shes 16 weeks now, this pic was about 14 weeks, she is going to be a lot bigger than Oscar.

ED209, thats a horrible thing to happen, certainly not expected at 16 weeks. Poppy is looking BIG for 14 weeks.

I think I'm going to go for PDSA Petsurance 7000, £225 pa. From what I have read so far, it seems to cover everything needed

Well 2 days into it and training is going well,

- I'm up out of my seat faster
- I can watch tv and Milly at same time
- I'm up at 5.30 again
- I've been for a walk before 6.30
- I've started to talk with a strange tone in my voice

So as I say-----MY training is going well


EDA forgot to mention, Mrs TT suggested we go and buy Millys sister and have 2 labs
