Hi All,

Calling all fellow bird lovers to help me out with these four pictures please. I took these at the Bournemouth aviary, I was visiting there last week and the aviary was hosting a small art exhibit.

Almost all I could identify easily but I wanted some help with these.

3 of the pictures are from the parrot section of the aviary. A large red fowl type bird with a yellow head. My best guess was some kind of jungle fowl? . Then two parrots, I think one is a rosella but cant be sure.

The most intriguing one was in the other side of the aviary with the finches and other soft bills. It's black with a vivid orange head and back. This one I really have no idea on and feel compelled to find out more

I took only video so these pics are stills I grabbed from the footage, so apologies for the quality

Any input greatly appreciated!smile

Thank you so much for your help, very much appreciated

I did have a suspicion of weaver bird, but the only ones I found in pictures were differently arranged in colour and pattern even if they were black and orange.

Those two parrots were indeed somewhat ropey
