So, we had noisy crows/rooks in the trees at the back of the house. I played owl sounds to persuade them to go and make their noise elsewhere.

This ploy worked, but now real owls have rocked up.

Oops.

Why would owls drive away crows/rooks?

Round our way, they regularly take on Kites.

As for the owls, if you hear them once, they obviously don't give two hoots.
