My mrs has been away for a week & every evening around the time she usually gets home from work, our 13 month old terrier is woeful.

Of course they do.

There are many things "scientists" try to tell us about dogs etc which is a load of s**e to anyone who has ever owned a dog.

Cats too.

If I've been away for a few days, I get the "Where the fk have you been?" miaow from Bob on my return.

The difference is, dogs tend to be"Oh my god I've missed you, so glad you're home!!!!!!!"
Cats are more "Oi, you haven't looked after me! Back in abit!"
