The new moggie - which breed?
Discussion
Hi,
New cat thread, I'm afraid.
Does anyone want to hazard a guess as to which breed 'Big Ears' here came from?
He's a rescue. 14 weeks old when I got him (first two pictures) As he grown he's become increasing lengthy, lean and muscular (more so than you'd expect from a regular ginger tabby mog - which he obviously is, but I'm sure there's more to him). His scruffy kitten / rescue centre fur is now like silk - in a way the camera cant capture - and looks quite stunning in the bright light. His stripes are becoming increasingly pronounced too. He's constantly alert, never shuts up, and plays rougher than my parents 4yr old Shih Tzu (who's now terrified of him). In fact, I've never known a cat to play so hard! And it's all paws, no claws. He's hugely friendly, and scarily confident. I had a house party a week ago, the first time he'd encountered more than one 'new' person (had around 15 noisy, drunk people) and he wanted to get to know everyone.
Anyways, here he is. Answers on a post card please!:

Definitely some Bengal in there. From the markings and behaviour. Also Bengals have a kind of satiny lustre to their fur that you don't appreciate until you see it in full sunlight, which would fit with what you've described.
I'm guessing some ginger alley cat got in there and seized his chance with a pampered Bengal queen.
