We rehomed Daisy back in November/December when she was 14/15 months old, the first picture is soon after we got her, the second was taken at the end of Jan.

Now we were were told that she was a French Bulldog however I've always wondered if she is a pure one and perhaps she may be crossed with something else such as a Boston Terrier; I say this as predominately she seems a little too slim to be a Frenchie and she is around 8kg which I believe is light for a Frenchie.

All Frenchies that I've seen, whether photos or real dogs are stocky, much like a Pug but slightly slimmer, where Daisy has a broad chest but noticeably gets slimmer as you get towards the back of her, however she has both the shorter legs of a French Bulldog and the muscly broad stance when looked at from the front that both the French Bulldog and British Bulldog have, she also has the tiny tail and her ears are rounded at the tips whereas Boston Terriers have pointed ears.

Another reason is she is hyper and rarely settles, she's always on the go and into things even though she has a 20 min walk in the morning, she is rarely alone for more than two hours a day and has a 45-60 min walk in the evening and at the weekend she can be out for a couple of hours and rarely tires; all of which I gather is the complete opposite of a Frenchie.

Don't get me wrong, she's lovely and we love her to bits and we don't care what she is, we are just curious.

Another picture of her from a week or so ago, notice she has a slim face:

Any ideas anyone?

She looks too skinny for a frenchie, almost like she's got a bit of chihauhua in her.

Yesterday the wife joined a Face Book French Bulldog Rescue group and there are a fair few on there who are just like her so I guess she is one, it's just that when I've seen Frenchies, either in real life or on tinterweb they look a lot more chunky and fuller faced.

She is definitely bigger since we got her; as well as being younger then and I would say not fully grown she was also under weight.
