I hate cats. I really do. Never liked them. I can however tolerate their existence and understand that other people do like cats. That is why I am writing this as I need a way to stop the neighbours cats from stting in my garden before I;

A) collect up all the st and post it through their mail box.
B) kill every cat I see.

I have tried pepper on the beds, and some of the garden centre solutions and even toothpicks stuck in the undergrowth to deter them. But everytime I go to do anything in the garden I find catst.

Please don't say 'get a cat yourself' as that is what my neighbour said. bh.

I have started keeping a loaded supersoaker in the house, but fear this is a battle I will eventually lose as the cats don't have a job. And therefore can wait until I go out.

I did think about getting an agricultural bird scarer that sounds like gun fire, but have since heard that this may be anti social. Unlike people who are too lazy to own a real pet so buy a cat to pet for 5 mins a day before it goes out to st in my garden & get gang raped by other cats...

Not sure if true, but heard a little bit of tiger poo can scare them away. Think you can buy it online.

Not ideal, but maybe slightly better?!

Partially crushed garlic cloves or ripped up bits of orange/lemon peel scattered in the garden will discourage them... and easier to source than tiger/lion st.

1) 6 inches of netting on top of your fences makes it hard for cats to get over them. If you watch a cat jump, it will always try and touch the top of the object that it's jumping over. If you get the right sort, it'll hardly notice.

2) If I see one in my yard, I empty a washing up bowl of water over it. Cat's are generally clever enough to remember where bad things happen. It sounds harsh (and I probably wouldn't do it to a cat that didn't look young and healthy), but it's better than them getting in to fights with our cat (resulting nasty abscessed ears, usually for ours) or meeting with one of the dogs we sometimes look after.

yes

There's probably a cat on Pussyheads.com right now starting a thread on how to irritate his neighbour.
