Ever since the dog has had the snip whenever he is asleep or relaxing he will suddenly jump up and really aggressively snarl and bark at his backside.

We thought maybe some of the stitching was still inside and they have checked and found nothing and also checked whatever else it could be and said there is nothing wrong, he's been wormed as well.

But its every day/night, it must be something??

Anybody heard/know of anything similar?

Anal glands been checked?

This is not normal but it is difficult to know what the trigger is. I think you should spk to the vet again esp as it happens in his sleep, bit out there but I wonder if valium would help for a couple nights to try and break the cycle but tbh a vet may not be keen on the idea.

I think they checked the glands the second time, he's been back 2-3 times and they are none the wiser!! :/

Maybe he's dreaming that the vet is coming back for the rest of his bits!

Have you flea combed him? Long shot but he might have been bitten/feel them moving and doesn't like it?
