The black cat love thread

With news that people are not adopting black kitties because they don't look good in pictures I thought I woukd start a thread dedicated to all things black cat.

We have a feisty little black boy called Gomez who joined us with his black and white brother, Fester. Gomez is a shy little boy but with love and treats he is learning to trust us.





We got him from Cats Protection, please consider a little black cat if you are planning to adopt.

We're upto 7 black cats at the moment. Can't seem resist the elderly black cats who have been abandoned at the local cats protection!

Most dog like cat I've ever met.. greets you by the door, follows me around, sits with me in bed until I wake up and doesn't bother me for food in the morning!

I love black cats, it was my only requisite for getting a cat. Sure, they don't always look great in photos.. but nor do I

Lola, our 2nd black cat. 5 years old now, we got her from the RSPCA when she was 1. Knows how to make herself comfortable

This is Nimbus who we got from Battersea as a kitten in August 2009. Nimbus has cerebellar hypoplasia, which affects her motor skills so she's a bit wobbly. This does not stop her leading an active life and bossing around both our Bengal boys. We try not to spoil her but it's hard as she's so cute.

Great to see how many black cats have happy lives and owners. I'm fostering three at the moment and it's good to know people are taking them in, hopefully we'll have homes for them soon enough (not that I want them to go!)
