Mercifully, the BBC report omits some of the more graphic descriptions about how this defenceless little creature met her death.

For 3 minutes she was subjected to almost unimaginable agony before she finally passed away. The bd who killed her so cruelly later showed not the slightest remorse.

I just hope that some of those in the prison to which he has been sent are animal lovers - and will 'explain' to him the errors of his ways in an appropriate manner which he will never forget.

I think 100 lashes in the town square would suffice. If he survives, same again the next week.

As bad as it is... the guy has spent time in psychiatric hospitals. I think he just needs locking up permanently, not further torturing.

100 lashes in a town square would hardly be an adequate punishment for someone so utterly cruel and sadistic.

Despite the poor, defenceless little creature screaming and writhing in agony for a whole 3 minutes in the microwave, he felt absolutely no remorse afterwards.

Utterly vile - and he deserves no sympathy for whatever 'treatment' will inevitably come his way in prison.

At least Rogers will be jailed. Unlike the sadistic yobs who tortured and killed another pet rabbit in this case: http://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/crime/rabbit-ki... who were only given community service orders. Not only did they kill the defenceless creature, but they filmed their antics.....and left five 11-day old baby rabbits without a mother. Despite attempts to hand rear them, they were too young and all five subsequently perished. Which leaves the anguished male rabbit grieving for his missing partner and a distraught family without a much-loved pet.

Those 4 should have been given custodial sentences for their sickening crimes.

Does inmate on inmate violence really happen often in prisons? It seems like a rare event, despite people being sure that it happens.

Shame human sized microwaves aren't readily available, anybody that thinks it's funny can have a go themselves.

I'd be more than happy to set the power, time and press the button myself, probably record it as well.

Sorry, but I simply don't think that levity is appropriate to this thread.

I can't get the image of that poor little animal's screams of agony out of my head.

Nor of the terror and pain suffered by little Percy, taken from her babies and tortured to death by those drunken yobs.

So go do something about it in general then; it'll actually have a direct impact rather than covering your monitor in spittle at the thought of torturing someone who's clearly mentally ill smile
