Xmas is coming......."Real" indestructible dog toys ?????

Plenty of toys out there labelled indestructible, but the sad reality is, they're not. A few minutes being stretched between feet and teeth usually sees them shredded all over the floor. So, apart from the black Kongs, which seem to do what they say, can anyone recommend any other toys that will last more than 5 minutes?
My son has a Hamleys 12" labrador. It's lasted 3 years of constant (and I mean CONSTANT - he takes it with him everywhere and sleeps with him) companionship, and it goes in the washing machine and dryer and comes out like brand new every time.
Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Depends on the dog I think. One of our Jack Russells is pretty savage and destroys most things (a surprising bite for a rat dog), but he's had a Kong rugby ball for ages. The stuffed middle bit came out of it, but the actual ball is probably 2 years old now and he plays with it most days. My old staffy cross (who should really have destroyed toys), used to like to sit down and cuddle up to them most of the time. I think the only think that would have survived an onslaught from my brother's Ridgebacks would be a truck tyre.
My mother in law has a Kong Jumbler for her spaniel our Jack Russells and previously her lab cross and that is about 4 years old and still fine. I don't know how it would last with a staffy/Rottweiler/Doberman/Ridgeback though.

My brother used to run a business specialising in things for big dogs and they had a fair amount of extremely tough toys, but he closed the business about a year ago and I've forgotten the name of the toys. Some of them were a load of rubbish though.

My Terrier_Of_Uncertain_Parentage destroys most toys, I find that proper tennis balls (not the ones "for dogs") last quite well, if he nicks a ball from another dog in the park I have to get it from him PDQ as particularly the foam ones are history in seconds, little git.
But the best things are the knotted rope type toys because even though he does have a good go at them they will last pretty well. "Fezzy" (a knotted rope pheasant) has lasted nearly a year but is now unrecognizable as anything bird like!

Try looking for a spaceball,about the size of a softball ball,coloured see through plastic rubber and cover with rubber spikes.

I'd be careful of giving a dog a boomer Ball, my mums' previous EBT/Staff X had one for a brief while but it had to go in the bin.
The dog could scratch it with her teeth enough to throw up sharp burrs then as she head butted it about the garden the burrs would cut her nose and face, deep claret everywhere type cuts
It was only a matter of time before the dog had a cut get infected or lost an eye so in the bin it went.

Boomer balls - he never managed to damage it, but the noise is intolerable.

This is a great idea. I have this exact problem.
I have a 55kg 1 year old Rottweiler and his ability to destroy any toy in minutes is unbelievable. The only thing that has survived more than 10 minutes is his black kong. It was recently his birthday and toys that were labelled as indestructible lasted no more than 10 minutes each.

I got one of them for my youngster (8 months old) but it failed the Rottweiler test miserably I'm afraid. Still it lasted a bit longer than most of the others.

A doggy ball, sold by pet shops, that's a brighty coloured, spiky, soft rubbery thing, with a flashing LED inside, is to be avoided.
I know a dog that chewed one open.
The LED is powered by a button battery and he nearly swallowed it.
I'm told children swallowing these batteries is currently a headache for A&E, as they're a serious health hazard.

Lovely GSD btw, I have one (and a cross), the big lad loves nothing more than a football but they never last long.
