Can Any one identify this Snake

In Southern Iraq

Apologies for the photo .....there were three of them hiding in wooden cable drums ,,, but the locals mullered this one !!

Told it was some kind of Viper and it is poisonous just cant find it on the web

It might be one of the eirenis species that are quite common in the Middle East, without seeing the head it could be a number of snakes.

If a snake is poisonous, just don't eat it and you'll be fine. If however, it's venomous, you need to be careful.
